2024 off to a good start for informing women and girls of the sex specific stats they need to defend themselves from sexual offending... Intuitively we can 'feel' that most sexual offenders are male but as a Covid jab nurse once said in shock "I had no idea it was so bad." She was so shocked she kept repeating herself. She lost all NHS jolliness when I recounted
"99% of sentenced* sexual offenders are male...
in each and every year since 2002 for which annual prison population data is available."
88% of all those sexually offended against were FEMALE (ONS 2022)
"The Department of Justice (DoJ) today published The 'Northern Ireland Prison Population 2022-23’ report. It (the report) presents key data relating to the average daily prison population, receptions and discharges for Northern Ireland during 2022/23. " CBD: That is like the method used by the Justice Directorate of the Scottish Government.
It also has 'snapshot' statistics of the prison population on the same date annually, which mirrors the approach of the UK's Ministry of Justice. For comparative purposes and latitudinal validation i) the closest statistics to UK's Ministry of Justice was selected. Since the female: male ratio is involved, it makjes little practical difference. In due course, a parallel study can be done to see if it changes the basic sexual offending sex ratio, which has been "99% of sentenced sexual offenders are MALE" in each and every year since
2007-22 when ROI Irish Prison Service online records begin and
2016-23 for the Ministry of Justice of the Northern Ireland Executive.
CBD: I hummed and ha'ed over making an All Ireland or a Scottish and N Ireland infographic, it does create some difficulty as the lag time for each set of stats is different but the underlying information is basically ...the same. That is the mathematical evidential point! Sexual offending is sex specific, could not be more so but the governments are merging datasets such that this is not visible and explicit in breach of protestations about seriousness on (male) violence against women and girls.
CBD: Common in all English speaking jurisdictions pdf bulletins treat "women" as a minority but then fail to look at differences of sex within sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity when sex is specific to all other metrics,.
3,2,1... triangulate these three "statistics" & see the results - 2 or even 1 is good all 3 is fab!

The word 'sentenced' is important ie "guilty beyond all reasonable doubt", which makes women & girls 'guilty unless proven innocent'.
